The Leona

Every detail was perfection. High end furnishings when vacationing in BBQ country. Loved the view , the thoughtfulness of every detail and the location can’t be beat. The community area is lovely and the cabins are equipped with games, a working record player and even blue tooth you can link into. Loved it. Will be back !

Simply a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful cabins and grounds, only four blocks north of downtown. You’ll hear trains passing by on the tracks to the north, but they’re not constant. Foam ear plugs and a noise machine are provided in the bedroom. So many other special touches inside, too, including complimentary snacks and drinks, a Nespresso style coffeemaker, and the most colorful, snazziest robes I’ve ever enjoyed wearing. Sadly it was too hot during my stay to sit out for very long on the deck overlooking the creek, but it’s a peaceful sight. Highly recommend.

A Perfect Retreat! We recently booked The Leona for a 50th birthday weekend and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting. With 12 of our closest friends and family joining us, the space offered just the right balance of privacy and togetherness. Each cabin was beautifully designed - private, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, allowing our guests to relax, unwind, and enjoy their own space. At the same time, the pavilion served as the heart of our celebration, providing the perfect setting for a shared meal, games, and great conversation. It felt like every detail had been considered to make our stay seamless and memorable. I second everything positive said about The Leona in Lockhart. My wife and I stayed this weekend and celebrated our anniversary, and the Leona was more impressive and comforting than my highest expectations. As others have mentioned, the short walk to all the excellent restaurants and fun bars in the center of town is a joy, and walking back to rest and relax in such a peaceful and beautiful oasis is really a perfect experience. We are especially grateful for all the little details added in the room to make our experience even better! Last note, I tried to find a place with pleasing design because my wife is an architect and it’s very important to her. We LOVED this darling place. It was convenient to the square where the majority of shops and restaurants are. It's walking distance to at least 3 great BBQ restaurants. Service was excellent, there were flowers and other thoughtful touches because it was a birthday weekend. The owners thought of everything so our weekend pretty much was on "autopilot". The cabin was very clean and superbly furnished. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. If you want a place to chill out and enjoy beautiful central Texas, this is the place to do it.
