Beautiful little Cabin on a creek (we saw a beaver) - perfect for the 2 of us! My husband and I visited in negative temperatures with a lot of snow! We were toasty warm. After a long day of skiing a Hot shower with that awesome pressure was AMAZING!
If you want peace and quiet it is perfect. A little hard to find in the dark. Signage could be better. The steps don't go all the way down to the river but the view is gorgeous. The kitchenette is nice and has everything you need. The fireplace is just right for a relaxing evening.
I really enjoyed our stay here. This is a cute little remote lodge in a very secluded part of Pennsylvania. The backyard has an incredible view, the river was awesome to swim in, and even just staying in this place you even feel so much more in touch with nature. My ONLY complaint is that this place does not have central AC. We visited mid-summer and even with all the windows open it was so hot inside, hotter than it even was outside. We were trying to chill on the couch and watch tv at night and we're just too hot so we ended up going to bed. There is an AC unit in the master bedroom which was helpful for only that room. This place DOES have heating, though. My girlfriend thought it was an AC unit and accidentally turned the place into a sauna temporarily. Aside from a couple of petty det
My husband and I were look for a quiet getaway and this was the perfect place. everything we thought it would be and more. We loved our stay here along the river and staying in the woods. This place is about 30 min out of Jim Thorpe. We had so much fun and time to relax together. I would stay here again.
Was disappointed with not being able access the water at cabins location.Had to walk a good way to it. There are dangerous so called "steps" behind cabin, good luck!!The bed was very small and uncomfortable. We departed a day early for that reason.
