The Landing on the Wolf

We have been coming up for EAA the last 3 or 4 years. I found this place on hotels.com a couple years ago and have never looked back. This place is 15'ish miles from Wittman. Since we're at the show pretty much when the doors open and then stay there well after close, I only need a place to lay our heads and shower. I don't need 4 or 5 star accommodations. As such, at this price point, distance, etc, this place is perfect. In past years I have been able to rent the private house, but this year and even next year (I preemptively reserved for EAA 2026 before we left yesterday), the private house was taken. I was sad. The location is great. The people were very friendly. Fishing was great. Rooms are very outdated and semi clean. The air wall unit did not provide enough air to cool the room so it was very hot so bring a fan. If you bring a boat and want to leave it in the water good luck. Not enough room to dock your boat if there is more than 4-5 boats. You'll have to pull it out every time you come in. I know it's a fishing resort it's not supposed to be a five star hotel but rooms could use some work. Would I go again...probably.

The bar was okay at best. No restroom in the bar. You had to walk across the parking lot to use a restroom. The room was an absolute joke. The refrigerator door had what looked like someone was throwing knifes at it! The windows air conditioner had no control knobs on it and there is absolutely no way I would have taken a shower in the room!! We moved on to somewhere else. $100.00 totally wasted!

Made a reservation and nobody was there to let us in the room, despite having called the day before to make sure someone would be able to let us is. Called the night of and no answer. Found a room at a different hotel and stayed there. Got a partial refund for not staying and when I called back to try and get the rest of the refund the person cussed me out and called names. Do not do business here.

The rooms were dated and not the best but they were clean and the staff were great,but if you're coming just to fish and are not looking for luxury it's great with plenty of places to cast your line.
