The Lakes Inn

Intending to play golf and use the Sand Valley facilities but unable to get a reservation, this hotel was one on the recommended list. It was clean, very comfortable bed, spacious with two club chairs, a good sized fridge and good counter space. Stacy, the owner was lovely and helpful. Kayaks/canoes for use on the lake are included for the guests. We loved being able to open the windows and enjoy the air and the stars at night were great!

While the rooms were clean, they had many flies and ladybugs. Very few outlets were available. There was a note stating that there were dark towels that should be used for make-up removal but they were not in the room. There was no hair dryer available. We were staying two nights but only two bath towels were provided for the two of us. I would think four towels would be in the room since no daily cleaning occurred. The location was great for us. I would also note that the keys have the name of the motel and the room number so you risk the safety of the guests if that key were to be lost. In this day/age, a more modern system of keys needs to be adopted.

Great option for Sand Valley golf if you can’t find accommodation at the resort or to save cash for the pro shop! Convenient, clean and about 8 minute drive to the resort. Motel/Inn setup but very comfortable with great owners who take care of the property. The lake is beautiful.

We absolutely loved this place. If we were ever in that area again we would definitely choose this place. The owner's were warm and welcoming. We stayed in a room with a king size bed, the room was fabulous, so neat and clean. We would definitely recommend the Lakes Inn!

Very clean, good mattress, updated MOTEL room. Great location if you are golfing at Sand Valley. Also great upgraded bar food right behind the motel at Lake Sherwood Lodge. You can't beat it for the money and convenience.
