The Kent Collection | The Victorian

We stayed at the Firefly Inn and absolutely loved it. The short walk to town was perfect, and the inn itself is incredibly charming. Joe, our innkeeper, checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and shared some great local restaurant recommendations. Our room was lovely and well-appointed, including a cozy gas fireplace. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras like drinks, coffee, and light breakfast items such as granola and yogurt. It was such an easy, relaxing getaway with everything you need for a quick escape.

We stayed at the Firefly Inn for one night while we attended a wedding nearby. The Firefly Inn was very beautifully decorated. The bed we stayed in was extremely comfortable, I even emailed them to ask about the brand of the sheets since I liked them so much. We did not meet anyone who worked there during our brief stay, however someone did email us to make sure we got in okay. Overall, we thought the room was not worth the price we were charged. We stayed in room 5 and felt the room was very small for what we paid for. The bathroom has no counter space which makes it extremely difficult to get ready in. Our biggest complaint was that the whole upstairs was extremely warm. We tried to adjust the thermostat so it would be cooler when we came back at night, but the thermostat is temperature

I stayed at The Victorian in Kent with my boyfriend and we had such a great time. First, the decor is gorgeous! Full of charm but still super cozy, and it really made the place feel special. We both got stuck working the first night, but luckily they had amazing high speed internet so we were able to set up in the foyer and get everything done easily. The staff was so kind the entire weekend—especially when we were working, they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Second, the location was perfect too. It was a quick walk into town, which made it easy to explore all the shops and restaurants. Absolutely magical stay at The Victorian in Kent, CT! I don’t typically write hotel reviews, but our experience here was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff, especially Joseph, who truly went above and beyond. He was always available if we needed anything—attentive, thoughtful, but never intrusive. His presence alone elevated our stay. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful—charming, elegant, and even more stunning than the photos online. I had planned to stay at the Victorian but shortly before my stay I was contacted by the innkeeper and notified that the AC was broken and that they had moved me to the Firefly Inn. And I’m glad I got to stay the the Firefly. It was such a lovely place. Super clean, fully stocked with snacks, beverages, etc. The town of Kent is also great — plenty of food options, an awesome cafe, etc. the Inn is within walking distance to all of these. If I was ever in the area again I would definitely stay at the Firefly.
