The Inn on Storrs

When entering the hotel there was one guest or car in parking lot. They appeared to be smoking something that smelt of burnt plastic. When I entered the room the one other guest radio was slamming against our wall. The room smelt of urine. We immediately turned and left. When leaving the other guest was by our window . I immediately knew I had to leave location due to feeling unsafe. The person at front desk asked if we were looking refund. I was told me to reach out to management in morning. This hotel or inn was rated at 4.5 at time of review. If you notice that review has tanked since then. If I was you I’d avoid this location management and room quality is poor. I can only assume drug activity is the norm here.

We were booked to stay at the hotel but chose to leave when we were greeted by the smell of urine in the hallway, damp in the bedroom and double beds that seemed smaller then standard doubles. The hotel attendant was not helpful. Trip.com attempted to get our money refunded but was unsuccessful. We had not seated the night and paid a lot more because of the short notice elsewhere.

Great hotel to crash at. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Good spot to stay at if you are down for a UCONN game

I recently stayed at what was supposed to be a three-star hotel, but it felt more like a nightmare. The moment I opened the door to my room, I noticed an unpleasant musty odor. Within minutes, I saw a roach scurry across the carpet, and later that night I spotted more near the baseboards. Hoping the bed would be at least clean, I pulled back the sheets and found tiny dark spots that looked like bedbug evidence. Sure enough, I woke up with several itchy bites on my arms and legs. The bathroom was no better. The sink was stained, the shower had mold in the grout, and the towels smelled sour, as if they hadn’t been washed properly. I informed the front desk, but the staff offered only a shrug and a half-hearted apology. I checked out after one miserable night. Save yourself the trouble—this

Awful experience. Same as everyone else. Service was bad. Room wasn’t ready at said 4pm check in time, when it finally was, the room keys did not work and when they finally did, the room wasn’t ready with sheets on the floor and not cleaned. Pool was freezing, Hot tub was too hot, could not even put my feet in. When we called the desk, they said they would send someone out. We were there over an hour and no one came. The owners comments on these other reviews clearly tell you that what everyone saying is accurate. The only reason they are still in business are because of the colleges families needing places to sleep.
