The Inn Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

The lighting in the double lights by the bed were way too bright and the light switch turned on both lights. Should be able to turn on one light at a time. The bed closest to the outside wall was way too soft. Sitting on the edge of the bed felt like you almost were going to bottom out on the floor. First night I slept on the floor. Second night I slept on the side closest to the window. Because the lighting was so bright, I moved the floor light to that corner and it worked good. Both nights it seemed like there was a parade on the floor above us.

My experience was not with the Inn, but the restaurant in the hotel. Cazarellis offers wonderful food. It relocated to The Inn not long ago. We visit Okoboji 1-2 times a year. We got Cazarelli's new address made our visit. Delicious and affordable most supper meals start at $25 and up. Good to see that this restaurant found a new home and are thriving!

Our first trip to Lake Okoboji. Lots of outdoor activities were super close - location was really good. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, a real asset for the property.||But the facilities were disappointing. There seemed like a real air flow management issue in the hotel. The room was very humid and none of our sweaty clothes would dry. There was a small hole for the bathroom fan around the light fixture and the fan was ineffective. The bathroom counter needed to be sealed. The occasional chairs were very uncomfortable to sit in. ||I thought we were reserving a room of a higher quality than we stayed in.

Pros: Location is perfect. Front desk staff were great. Beds were comfortable. Decor and amenities nice. Cons: Window coverings did not close all of the way. No housekeeping. Rooms could use more light. Older cooling system.

Our stay at the Inn Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was clean and beautifully appointed with the Art Deco inspired decor. The hotel restaurant attached allows for simplistic dinning opportunity and the convenient breakfast grad and go selection for our early morning departure was great appreciated. We especially enjoyed the rooftop pool amenity and “The Cabana” for an opportunity to gather and host a small celebration. The overall location is perfect, allowing us to easily walk to local Arnold’s Park attractions. We can’t wait to return!
