Positive: Location to shops and restaurants was convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Lounge area was cozy and warm. Negative: We had an issue with the shower hot/cold regulator.

Purchased a get an away for my wife for Christmas. We were very disappointed in this hotel. First the price is ridiculous at $450 a night. It is an old outdated inn. The room was terrible No coffee maker in rooms We could not get a hot shower. ( Luke warm at best) The TVs are old and outdated not smart TV No Roku or smart stick.. I am allergy sensitive and had a reaction to either the dirty carpet or old chairs that were dusty. My wife took a tub and the faucet was very loose and like warm water at best. We went to bed around 10 and the people above were very noisy and sounded like they were coming through the ceiling. They provided free breakfast but for the price we paid the breakfast was in the price and at $25 for breakfast it was way out of touch. I am a professional chef and when we

Checked in 2/9 for a 2 night stay in a room on the 3rd floor. Going up to the room, I was stuck in the elevator for over 10 minutes until I was able to get myself out on the 2nd floor. I had to take the stairs up with my luggage to the room which was clean, spacious but dated. I walked down the 3 flights to inform the manager of the elevator failure which she confirmed. Because the elevator was down, I requested a first floor room and was told there weren’t any. I wasn’t pleased but walked back up the 3 flights and unpacked. The manager then rang and offered to move us to a guest cottage behind the Inn. I repacked and dragged our suitcases down the 3 floors (no porter?) and out to the cottage which was a downgrade from our room (we also were not compensated for the $50 difference in price)

As I knew which room I'd booked there were no surprises on checking in. To be honest, we didn't much like the room decor - but we're British and the "olde worlde" decor that appeals to Americans passes us by. It was like something out of the 1980s. Interestingly, the downstairs bar and dining room were really nice - they unfortunately had a fire a few years back and had to rebuild and obviously went with a much more up-to-date look. ||The staff were very friendly - probably the best we experienced on our road trip around New England (not a high bar admittedly!) ||The food was very good (great breakfast with an excellent choice) and the dining room very cosy with a fantastic view of Mount Washington on our first morning (it was covered in cloud by the time we got up it sadly!) The bar was

This hotel is really nice and the value for money is very good. The hotel has a good territory with picturesque views, especially from the terrace featuring a bunch of chairs. The staff members are super friendly and welcoming and the check in process was really smooth. There is a bar and a restaurant at the hotel too, together with a reception room available for all guests - everything in a pub-like fashion. The breakfast is included and they offer a selection of ~5 options. Both eggs Benedict and pancakes with maple syrup were fine and far from exceptional but the fact that they have a selection is super pleasant for an American small hotel. The rooms were overall quite old fashioned but well maintained. Our room had both a shower and a hot tub and it worked well. There was a gas firepla
