The Inn at Mountain View

BUYER BEWARE ! You will get exactly what you pay for. That was the case in getting a steal of deal $61 for a night. I chose this hotel because advertised it showed a very comfortable looking bed, clean and new rooms and a jacuzzi tub in the rooms. I thought every room would have these features. However, that was not the case. When I went to see if u could upgrade they told me it was valentines and none were available. Upon further inspection the room was not satisfactory. I found hair in the tub, something smeared along the board above the toilet and rust around the toilet base. Paint in the room was cracked. A strong cigarette odor lingered at night. A marijuana odor was smelled in the morning. There are signs that state no smoking, however the only penalty enforced is a $300 fine. The be

We stayed here a couple years ago. It was nice and clean. Beds were OK. Staff friendly. So we decided to stay here again. Big Mistake. The bed and pillows were horrible. The bathroom sink was clogged. Looked like the previous person staying there decided to trim a beard. Black hair was all over the sink. The floors were filthy. The heater in the room was loud. We told the person at the front desk about the issues and she gave us the I don't GAF face. We will not be back. It's too bad, the place could be decent with a little TLC.

Positive: Convenient location for our needs, and low rate. They seem to be gradually making their breakfast more eco-friendly but could do so much more by using metal silverware. After all, they have to wash some items. Negative: The staircases need to be cleaned more regularly. (I think that I commented this after my last stay also.)

I stayed in a king suite, it was bigger and nicer than my last apartment! It had a fireplace, chaise lounge, kitchenette with pot, pan, and dishes and utensils. Ample closet space, large bathroom with a stand up shower and large whirlpool tub with a mirrored wall. The bed was enormous, and firm which i prefer. There was also a razor, toothbrush and toothpaste provided which I haven't seen in quite a few years now, very nice touch. Regular price for the room was about double what I paid but I got a great deal through an online site.

Just stayed there this weekend. Like other reviews justneeded a place to sleep. Hotel is in need of TLC.The sink was slow to drain. Caulking sloppy made it look bad. Bedding seemed clean. Our room was quiet. They have a fenced area for dogs. Staff were friendly. Plenty of Hot water although you had the find the sweet spot on the dial. There was a tapping sound my guess was a vent cover in the ceiling when the wind blew. Pillows need replacing. Now that I know what to expect I will likely stay again.
