The Hollywood Franklin Hotel near Universal Studios

Nostalgic hotel with great location and service. Mere 10 minutes to Universal Studios. We could see the Hollywood sign in the shower! Pretty cool. The vibes are on point - old Hollywood. Easy walk to Hollywood Boulevard and the in-house diner is also pretty special.

Stayed here this past weekend. Great staff, great room, Valet w/ ins and out was super easy and cool. The attached restaurant was A+. Fair overnight rate. Convenient to our concert in Hollywood and the 101. Would stay here again. Added: After another stay that I had a matter come up that needed some accommodation, the hotel was really cool and gracious and they worked with me and all I can say is book with confidence!

Positive: Loved the location and the wall art and the frames. Bathroom was spacious. Negative: There is a smell in the hallways. Not very pleasant.

I've stayed here many times, and I'm never disappointed. It has a funky, chic, Hollywood vibe, and it's clean and friendly. Great location, walkable lovely Franklin Village area. Safe and close to many Hollywood attractions. The Clarke Street Diner downstairs is wonderful. It's my go to in LA. I highly recommend!

Very good compromise between location price and services. The pool is not so big, but enough if you wanna relax after a day visiting LA. Location is great, 10 mins from Universal Studios, 20mins from Griffith Observatory, really perfect. Room was spacious and bathroom too. The diner linked to the hotel building serves amazing food!
