The Highlander at Radford, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

This was my second visit to this hotel. The first being about 2 months ago. I was impressed with the kindness of the staff at both encounters. My disappointment was that my room bathroom had many small piles of long dark hair and dust in the corners. I was not pleased to find this on an item I dropped and then picked up. There was also hair on the carpet between the beds. (My last visit I did ask for a different room because the shower was stained). So it seems bathroom cleanliness is not their top priority. Overall, the sheets did not appear to be stained or dirty. On the second day of my visit my sheet that should have been fitted for the mattress was simply a top sheet tucked under which I discovered when I unintentionally removed it while turning the covers down. Positive: The rooftop restaurant and lobby cafe are convenient, serve good food and have nice staff Negative: We got to our room and the toilet was clogged from previous occupants. I had to complain 3 times before anyone did anything and finally they just delivered a plunger to our room. Again the toilet was like this when we got there! I had to plunge myself

My Goddaughter is a freshman student athlete, so visiting Radford is going to be a regular event for the next 4 years. The Highlander will always be my hotel of choice. Friendly service, excellent rooms (clean, spacious, well decorated) and a perfect location. The room had a mini fridge, which was great for our beverages and leftovers. The only thing missing was a microwave. I'll be back time after time. Next time, I will ask how to turn off the motion lights because they came on every time I adjusted myself in bed.

The absolute best hotel in Radford! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The hotel is immaculate and the location is great. We travel here often to visit family and stay here whenever possible. We needed a late checkout today and the staff immediately offered a 12:30 checkout which was very helpful. Highly recommend staying here when visiting the area, you won't regret it. The suite is a bigger room and has a dining table with 6 chairs and has a huge living room so we are able to have family members visit us here instead of gathering at a restaurant and being rushed. Love this place and the staff! 10 out of 10 experience every visit thanks to The Highlander staff! Thank you!!!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Highlander. The staff was warm and accommodating, the rooms were spotless, the ambiance is great and the rooftop bar and restaurant were outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the town and Radford campus were. We'll definitely stay again on our next trip through.
