Super 8 by Wyndham Radford VA

This was the 4th time we stayed here. It's very close to Radford U which is where we needed to be.|I totally get that when you book a smoking room, you are not going to get the luxury suite. But please. you have paid for certain amenities.|We were there for Radford U move in and move out days. Hotels are full so you take what you get. ||||i will only mention the last 2 visits. My husband had a couple of question so we went to the desk, this was at night. He started to ask his question and the clerk got very upset, threw another key card at us and was told " I don't want you to come back down here" So scared I did not sleep at all.|We already had reservations for the next week, so we thought things would okay. First I had to prove we had 2 nights reserved and paid for. They didn't have it

Positive: The staff was extremely helpful, responsive, and kind. Negative: Our first room had no cold water - it was scalding or nothing. The second room was fine, but the fridge had leaked at some point and the particle board was rotting away, the telephone was dirty and didn't work, the toilet pressure wouldn't flush well.

Fairly clean and quiet. 2nd floor non-smoking room but I could smell both cigarette smoke and weed smoke heavy in the hall with the weed drifting under the door. That said it passed my black light test and as a guy traveling alone I have stayed at much worse places for 50% more. Can’t really beat the price for what it is. I would stay again traveling myself but probably not with family.

I’ve stayed here quite a few times and I’ve always had a great experience. There was a couple spots on the floor where someone spilled soda and left it and I guess their mops didn’t get it all . But I cleaned it real quick with a few swipes and ended up really enjoying my stay . It wasn’t worth the fuss, but just being honest . Location right off interstate is convenient, and staff is always glad to help with what I need. I’ll be staying here again soon.

Old hotel. If you want to feel like you're in a hotel from the 70s, this is the place for you. It is clean. I don't know about the staff; I only saw the receptionist. The breakfast (if you can even call it breakfast) was horrible—just some muffins, bananas, coffee, and toast. Don't expect eggs or anything hot. I guess for the price you can't expect much more. This was my first and last visit to this hotel; it feels more like a motel
