The GEM Museum Suites Evanston

Enjoyed our stay at the Gem Museum Suites. The staff are amazing. Everyone is friendly and polite. The restaurant is great with amazing staff and the food is fresh and cooked to order. Great location close to a lot and free parking!! The rooms are a little smaller than expected, but nice. Love the amenities of a full fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The washer/dryer combo are great too. WiFi is nice. My only negative is cell service. We had to go to the lobby to make calls. Other than that, we will definitely be back.

We were greeted with a gift basket and note from management for our anniversary. I felt like I was staying in someone’s guest room. Not cold and bustling like a chain hotel. I definitely plan to go back! Breakfast was 5 star dining, not a packaged eggs, overdone buffet. Thank you for making our Anniversary Trip special! Bonus: the Home Alone house is a 15 minute drive away.

We had a great stay at the GEM Museum and Suites. Everyone who works at this hotel is extremely kind and helpful. We had one very minor issue with our room, and it was resolved immediately. The daily included breakfast is also excellent. We enjoyed the close location to the University and downtown.

Had a great stay for our first time at the Gem in October. Just blocks from downtown Evanston and a 10 minute walk to Northwestern - it's perfect and reasonably priced. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. Had a reservation snafu that was our mistake and Grace took care of it immediately. Staff was very personable.

How come there are only three reviews and all with 5-stars. Odd!? Are the bad reviews removed?|I am angry, upset and very disappointed by the lack of basic services albeit at the top rates!|I arrived around 7pm on Friday December 5. There was no one to help or greet me at the door. Fine. But then after checking in, there was no one to help me with my bags. Up in the room I got a shock because I reserved what was described as “the penthouse suite” which was no different from any other suite. It was decidedly “compact”. The bed took up the entire space of the bedroom with barely enough space to get in. And the bathroom was camping size with nowhere to place ANY toiletries.
