Holiday Inn Chicago North-Evanston by IHG

Holiday Inn Chicago North-Evanston consistently has some of the lowest rates in the greater Chicago area. It's a decent place to stay. The staff have been pleasant both visits. There was only a issue the first night of my second stay. I woke up with insect bites on my leg. I did speak to staff and they looked at my leg. We agreed that they were possibly mosquito bites and could've been attached to my clothing when I entered the property. I know to some, it sounds like a far-fetched deflection of responsibility by the hotel staff. Honestly, insects in hotel rooms don't equate to an insect infestation nor does it mean it was there before guests arrive. And people have posted pics of a tick claiming it's a bed bug. I really wish people would educate themselves before posting a review influenc

The front desk is amazing. Can’t imagine having better staff. Have to mention Nassima. Went above and beyond. I came for a night trip to see a doctor at the near by and already booked a fun trip for next month after seeing how great it is. Good quality rooms (shower, ac/heat, beds, flooring A+), clean, comfy and well taken care of hotel. It’s within walking distance of anything you can think of. It’s especially safe for a woman traveling alone like me because the elevators require your card. Love it!! Feel lucky to have found it!!

We'll start with all the positive things! Very friendly front desk staff, clean lobby and clean rooms. Convenient location to the City of Chicago at a reasonable price. The only downside regarding the room was the bathtub did not drain properly. About a foot or so of water while taking a shower. The other downside was the top level of the parking deck was not plowed or cleared, which made it a struggle to drive on amd navigate. Overall a nice hotel, as I've stayed here on previous occasions.

The hotel is nice and clean. The breakfast was good and lots of choices. There were some things that needed attention such as the rubber mat in the elevators. They were extremely worn and had gaping holes in them. I wish the shower had a detachable shower head but that's my personal preference; nonetheless, the room and bathroom were decent. ||Now there was a daily occurrence of doors slamming but I believe that was due to the weight of the doors to the rooms. Closing the door made a boom noise which at 6 am can wake one up! Otherwise, I would happily stay here again.

Positive: I love the staff, Hotel employee and her colleague always make my stay very welcoming. I go here on business about 5 times a year to Evanston and I always stay here for the hospitality of the staff. They always go over and beyond. Negative: ""
