The Gator Den Motel

The staff at the Gator Den Motel could not have been nicer. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. We were scheduled for 2 nights but had to leave a night early but were very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms, the helpful staff and the great food and drinks at the tiki bar!

Positive: The staff was very helpful! Negative: Could do a lot better job with general maintenance. The first room offered Stunk! The air filter and air conditioning unit looked as though it has never been cleaned. Mold inside! Second room also had minor issues. Security latch, tub curtain rod etc

Nice cozy motel right on the Withlacoochee River! Gorgeous! Dock and Boat rentals on site, airboat rides available for parties of 4+! There is also a public launch right across the street. So worth getting on the water as the river connects to Rainbow Springs and has pristine water. Im talking baby blue. Beautiful. Will be back for warmer days!

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was really big. The first thing I noticed was how clean the room smelled when we opened the door. The room had a king size bed, a sofa, refrigerator, microwave, and keurig. The room was quiet. We also had a few drinks at the restaurant next door. Service was great and again the staff was friendly. We didn’t eat there, but the food looked great! |I would stay here again!

My wife and I stayed here a week ago to be close to the springs. This is a great little spot to be! Check in was a breeze and the staff were all super friendly. The room looks like it was recently renovated and was very nice. Apparently, this is also a fishing resort that sports bass on the walls there. They also rent boats for a fair price. After discovering that, I will certainly be back! They even have some bass that hang out by the docks they know by name! The adjacent restaurant was very convenient too. We just walked over and had a nice meal for the night.
