The Funky Monkey Inn

5+ STARS!!! This was our first time at Monkey Island. The owners were extremely helpful and very responsive. Everything was seamless. We stayed in Sex & the City. We loved this room. We also enjoyed the living area, and especially the Movie Room. The decor of the Inn is fantastic. It is very peaceful and relaxing. It is conveniently located within a short distance of all the activities on Monkey Island, including the Shangra La Golf Course. We will DEFINATELY be back. We are already planning our next stay. If you are going to be staying on or near Monkey Island, I highly recommend the Funky Monkey Inn. The owner's are the absolute best.

I highly recommend the Funky Monkey Inn if you're visiting Monkey Island or Grand Lake, OK. All the rooms have a different theme, the bed is super comfortable, the WiFi works great, and you have your own bathroom. The Inn features a full kitchen, as well as a movie theater and game room located in the basement. A short drive to the Shangri-La Resort, the surrounding golf courses, and even the local airport. The check-in process is very convenient, and the customer service is amazing. Definitely worth checking out!

The Finley Monkey was an excellent stay. The owners are very responsive. The place was very clean and only about 1 mile from Golf at Shangri-La resort. I stayed in the law and order room and the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of room for one person and great water pressure in the shower. If you’re in the area and want something other than your standard hotel, I highly recommend it. I’m going to stay there again next year.

Checking out of this fantastic place today and I will miss it. The whole place is so beautiful and funky. The owners were super attentive and friendly. We’ve had a lovely weekend here in the area. This place would be great for a group get together too. The common areas and rooms are extremely comfortable. We were in The Easy Rider room and the bed was very nice and comfy. Loved the decor and art all over the house. Will be back!

Overall, one of the most unique lodging experiences! We stumbled on this gem when just needing a place for one night. Every room has character, while the house itself is nestled on a beautiful piece of property next to the lake. Great value for the cost and the owners were very friendly and responsive. Definitely returning!
