The Forge at Catherine Creek is an amazing and special place. I’ve spent quite a bit of time up at the camp over the course of the past few years, and there is always a remarkable spirit on this property. As a young man, I attended multiple youth camps at the Forge, during which I had the unique opportunity of sharing both fun and spiritual experiences with many other incredible youth. Unforgettable adventures, faith-building activities, nightly talks around the campfire—they’re all here! It’s true, what they say about “young men being forged into men of God” here.
This is one of the best new camps close to Boise. They are making huge improvements. Bathrooms and showers for girls and boys will be finished this summer. It's a giant area with trails and challenges like rope and walk climb, army crawl, and others. They also have handcarts and archery. We love going there.
Seems like a good cause. $450 a night plus fees is crazy for a place that takes donations and is run off volunteers.
