The Flanagan House

We happened upon the Flanagan House this past spring when we made an unexpected trip to attend the funeral for a close relative - Being such a small town area, accommodations can be scarce. We were so fortunate to find this clean, quiet and serene location at very reasonable prices. My husband, myself and my daughter were treated so kindly and enjoyed the incredible healthy breakfasts provided. Teresa was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to recommend (or NOT recommend) restaurants and other localities - LOVED the friendly pets and the daily wildlife visits - Would definitely visit again.

We spent five days here and our hosts were so kind. The bed and breakfast inn is (due to Covid) currently only bed, so that is what I am evaluating. The house was built around 1818 so it has many lovely features. From the stone steps leading to a spacious porch to the beautiful banister leading to our upstairs room to the gorgeous wooden floors, I fell in love with the house. Our bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was well supplied. The room had a wardrobe so we could unpack clothes. I slept soundly at night. We would stay here again.

My family recently booked three nights in two rooms at the Flanagan House for a family wedding in the area. The rooms and public areas were clean, very comfortable, and homey. Theresa and Tim are very personable and engaging--full of details on the history of the home and things to do/places to go in the surrounding area. Daybeds in several of the bedrooms (in addition to queen size beds) offer a comfy space to lounge along with flexibility in sleeping arrangements. The Flanagan House gets extra kudos for having a solid ramp into the house, along with a ground floor bedroom with a spacious bathroom and optional shower bench for guests who may need a little extra assistance while bathing. We booked this room for my mom (who uses a walker and can't climb stairs), and she had a very enjoy

My wife's son Jason was marrying a local girl, Christine and the Flanagan House was suggested for her son's and their girlfriends so we made the arrangements. Talk about southern hospitality. A warm greeting by Theresa and Tim started our visit. We all traveled a good distance to get there and when we walked into this almost 200 year old house, it felt like home. We had the entire place to ourselves which allowed us to "visit" at the dining room table as if we were home in RI, Arkansas, Boston or Maryland. The rooms are great, each had it's own bathroom. We strongly suggest you stay there for a visit and enjoy southern hospitality done well.

Our family was in the area for a funeral and Teresa and Tim took great care of us. This is a lovely home, the rooms are large and comfortable and clean. Teresa does a beautiful breakfast and it is on your time. In the evenings we enjoyed the front porch to relax and let down.||There is a great ramp on the side of the home since my husband is beginning to have problems with the stairs.||||Our 10 year old great grand daughter was with her family and was in the "Princess" room. Both our rooms had daybeds in them in addition to the queens. Nice touch.||||Thanks again for making this time much easier.||||We were so pleased to see this addition to the Murfreesboro area..much needed and lovely.
