The Evergreen

My wife has had a very long stay at the Marin Health hospital. We are not from around here. Lodging in Marin County can range from very expensive to ghetto style cheap. I unfortunately was duped from a good rating of one of those in San Rafael. The evergreen, if you are unfortunate enough to have a loved one in the hospital here is your place. The rooms are clean. The prices affordable. And the folks at the front desk, perhaps the owners, are extremely friendly and helpful. The motel is really very close to the hospital by freeway or by backroad… up Tamalapais blvd, Redwood, Magnolia, to Bon Air and your there. It has been a small slice of heaven in a trying time. Cute converted and updated motel. Quiet room (whoever said you can hear the highway is tripping) but the walls are thin so you can hear a noisy neighbor. We were lucky and didn’t have one so it was very quiet. Great service. First room smelled badly but the staff immediately moved us on request, and the second room was clean and perfect - so useful in terms of what we needed, in fact, that we stayed a second night. You definitely cannot beat the price. Recommend if you need to be in the area, expect a clean and comfortable room, a great price, and basic amenities.

We stayed at the Evergreen overnight because we needed to attend an event nearby. It was a 10/10. The place is beautifully renovated with top quality furnishings and linens. Our beds and pillows were among the best I've had at any hotel anywhere. Although it's called a motel, it was much nicer than that. More hotel than motel in terms of quality but with the motel benefit of being able to park the car just outside the room. The mall across the road was very convenient when we needed some groceries. There is a small fridge in the room and a Nespresso Coffee maker which we really appreciated. Lovely place, perfect base for exploring the area. Would definitely recommend!

Great value and location. A clean & comfortable modern design. Spacious room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. It has all you need. The only recommendation I have is that it would be nice to have a microwave to heat leftovers. I would recommend staying at The Evergreen Hotel. I will definitely be coming back to stay.

Amazing little remodeled, travel motel everything’s new beds comfortable clean excellent location Petes coffee around the corner I’ll Fornio, three blocks away plus other food court restaurants at the mall. Corte Madera is a very cute little town to explore. Absolutely would stay here again when I’m passing through Marin County.
