Customer Reviews
This was originally suppose to be a bachelor trip for my husband and his groomsmen back in March, but the life time booking truly is lifetime and we were finally able to make the journey in September. It was such a blast, Alex and Archer were amazing and attentive and gave actually great suggestions for brewery's and hikes in the area. We booked two yurts and the new sauna tent and hot top and both were so amazing, Alex and Archer work so hard to make the time you spend here truly amazing. From the fresh baked muffins to the trips to get your team extra firewood for the night, Eco Camp doesn't just feel like a camp ground but your own personal escape into the wilderness. Thanks again for everything!
Alex is a great host and works hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. A few small things around camp went wrong, but Alex was a text away and responded quickly to fix any of our problems. We had forgotten a pan and knife for cooking, and Alex lent them to us. Make sure to give pets to Archer, his pet beagle! The property is nestled in between Athens and Hocking Hills, so you have quick access to the parks and shops for whatever you may need. While there was no cell service in the parking area, once we got to the campsite, we had great service. I recommend downloading the local area map for offline use on Google Maps.
The scenery was my main interest and it exceeded my expectations. My family and I loved everything about it !! Some people were feeling homesick and Alex made us feel like The Eco Camp was where we belonged, Archer or Archie as the kids called him was a pleasure to be around and loved the kids ! If you’re looking for a weekend getaway that’s kid friendly and surrounded with nature , The Eco Camp is the place to go!!
Alex was super kind and accommodated our needs no matter how late!! We were all feeling a little homesick but he went out of his way to get us a little something to make the camp feel like home , also Archer is in fact very kid friendly and LOOOVEESS kid so much . I really recommend The Eco Camp . 10000/10 experience, I’m going to remember this for years to come !! :)
If I could give more stars I would. I stayed with a group of 15 at the eco camp. The property itself is gorgeous, and you could spend the day exploring it. Location wise it was a short drive to several cool hikes, we did one at Lake Hope. Now to our stay, each yurt had a heater, and a heated blanket so we stayed nice and toasty when it was cold outside! The main hangout space around the campfire was great, and we utilized the picnic tables by the airstream. Alex has thought of everything. He hand delivered us warm muffins and croissants in the morning, wood for the fire, and was just an overall delight. There is an outdoor shower to use, and even a hot tub. Our group had nothing but rave reviews for our stay. It was so fun, and seamless. Alex went above and beyond for us during our stay.
