The Eastland Motel

The Eastland Motel in Lubec, ME was a great place to stay. The rooms were immaculately clean. We had dogs and the pet room is conveniently located near an exit with easy access for our dogs to use the restroom or stretch their legs. I accidentally left a bottle of medication in the room when we left and the staff contacted us and mailed it back to us. The breakfast muffins were delicious too.

Air conditioner was very very full of dust. Hadn’t been cleaned probably all summer. The ceiling fan and light had old dust on it. We used the ceiling fan. The front door inside and bathroom door was very dirty from the floor up to over the handle area. No need for such filth. We stayed two night booked previous to our arrival. It wasn’t this dirty when I’ve stayed there before. I’ve stayed 3 times previous in last 6 yrs. The desk person when I checked out and gave her the key never asked how our stay was. I’ve stayed in a lot of motels and hotels in my lifetime and was surprised this yrs stay. I would have to ask if these areas and others were cleaned before I’d stay again. I’ve received an email from the motel site saying they hoped my stay was a good one. But never asked for any comment

We were lucky to find this hotel still had last minute availability. The cottage came with everything you may need for your stay. They offer a small continental breakfast in the morning and some rooms are even dog friendly! Our check-in/out process was a breeze and the location was perfect for us. We would definitely stay here again.

Small quaint little motel. Room was small but clean. Squeaky hinges and the bed was noisy! Like it groaned and creaked with every toss or turn! But the staff were super friendly and helpful, even loaned us some frozen gel blocks for our cooler overnight. In the morning we got muffins still warm from the oven! Although not a 5 star motel, it is one I would stay in again!

Great bang for the buck! I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area. Comfy bed and 4 pillow choices. Appreciated the chair in the room. Shower was spacious and water pressure excellent. Breakfast muffins yummy and good coffee to get me on my way. Easy drive to Campobello Island.
