The Eagle's Nest Inn

Mid stop from Sac City Iowa to our home near Memphis TN Beautiful building and room. Upgraded to a jet tub room, much appreciated. Helpful manager. Twin bed is a "time piece" but hubby slept very well in his bed. Would have liked a coffee nook in our room, but they do have one in the hallway I highly suggest a weekend stay here. The restaurant is open next door from Wed-Saturday. The menu looked yummy, but we stayed on Monday night. Book here!

At first glance, the building didn’t look very inviting from the ouside. We actually thought it might be vacant. Stepping inside, we were greeted by a beautiful, tall wooden staircase that immediately set the tone for the rest of our stay. Our room took us by surprise as well. The red brick accent wall, antique charm, and subtle modern touches created a warm and stylish atmosphere. It was spacious, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom was equally impressive—clean, roomy, and comfortable. The only downside was the showerhead. While the water pressure was excellent, the older, non-adjustable fixture sprayed a harsh mist that soaked the bathroom floor. It definitely needs to be replaced. Although there wasn’t on-site staff, communication was seamless. They responded quickly to

Super nice facility. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bathrooms were nice as well. The check-in process was simple and no issues with codes or locks. Location was close to the river, which was nice. Not much else close by really, but it was a relaxing stay for sure. I enjoyed the old & new combined in a tasteful manner, in the building and rooms. I wish it had a fridge & microwave in the room, but at least there was one in the common area. Only thing I would suggest, is a bigger a/c unit. Room was not hot, but after being out in the heat all day, a cooler room would've been nice to relax in. Would stay again if in the area.

We came home for a visit and stayed at the Eagle's Nest for four nights. The room was comfortable and spacious. Amenities include a mini fridge, coffee, and snacks. Our only complaint was the shower head. The pressure was so intense that our teens opted for baths. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay and we'll be back.

I absolutely love this place. It has the 1800s feel with a fresh, clean, modern take. The only reason I gave service a 4 is because there isn't a front desk. You check in at the restaurant next door, which is not a problem unless it's after hours. There is a 24-hour number to call if needed. We didn't have any issues and really enjoyed our stay. If you want to have an experience where you stay and not just a room, I would highly recommend staying here, and the rates are better than most.
