The Clarion River Lodge

The upside-this is a great looking lodge. Nice patio, the restaurant was very good, bar and entertainment were fine. The location is great. The downhill run-inattentive staff at the desk, rooms are rustic, unclean, and uncomfortable, doors to room and bathroom would not close securely, and the beds were very uncomfortable, windows not completely covered. The owner had no problem having his small child at the bar. I was a bigger fan of this place when Ellen O'Day was the owner. Hope things improve here.

We had a planning meeting for our high school class reunion. Audrey was the best. She made suggestions, answered questions, and was very personable. We had lunch there and it was all very good. It is a beautiful place to have dinner and we are looking forward to having our reunion there.

Great place. They aren't standing at the reception counter minding the phone so you might have to call several times but it is worth the effort. The food is top notch. A better steak is not to be found at even the best restaurants anywhere including the Atheneum. Mary is the salt of the Earth. Vick is an engaging and kind host, and Thaddeus is a great bartender. Our room was perfect. The entirety of the Lodge was wonderful.

Had a great dinner here. Service was top notch. Chef came to ask us how everything was. A unique experience in the area. Outdoor seating is nice too. Came Back for a second time this winter. Just as great, food still delicious. Highly recommend this place for a date night.

My husband and I just enjoyed a long weekend here. We had the wings on Thursday night along with carrots & celery. They were really delicious….and huge. The desserts were amazing! Beware…the shower is a little crazy. The pressure comes and goes, and the water can go from scalding hot to ice cold. You just have to back away from the flow. Also, the floor of the tub was like a sheet of ice. We placed a hand towel on the floor of the tub to keep from breaking something. Our room was very comfortable and cozy, and the staff is very friendly. The location is great, right by the river, and close to the State Park. They have an excellent outdoor patio area with personal fire pits. Hoping we can enjoy that area next time we stay. All in all, it was a really nice experience.
