The Chesapeake Inn

We stayed at the Chesapeake Inn for two nights during the 2025 Urbanna Oyster Festival and we could not have asked for better accommodations. From the warm welcome when we checked in to the morning that we left, the Inn staff made our first ever Oyster Festival experience a resounding success! We had a beautiful large room with a king size bed covered with comfortable pillows, sheets and a warm comforter. The whole room was clean, bright, quiet and tastefully decorated. There were so many personal touches such as a gift bag of Oyster Festival goodies, cozy robes, snacks, coffee supplies in cute canvas bags as well as magazines, books and brochures about the festival and the Town of Urbanna. We stayed at the Chesapeake Inn for the Christmas parade and holiday shopping. Everything was perfect! The little touches such as snack in the rooms, books and toys in the common and hallways and beautiful areas decorated for Christmas will definitely be remembered. We even left two handmade leather belts that we bought at the town farmers market that they were able to mail to us. Greatly appreciate the hospitality and will be back soon!

Our stay at the Chesapeake Inn in Urbanna, VA was absolutely charming. The Inn is decorated so beautifully, with thoughtful touches everywhere that make you feel right at home. Very family friendly — they have boxes of toys which is such a considerate detail. Along with a fridge/freezer and microwave in room. We loved the local snacks waiting for us, and the location couldn’t be better: little cafes and shops are walking distance in this quaint small town. If you stay on a Saturday, don’t miss the trolley ride around town — it’s a delightful way to explore. The Chesapeake Inn was the perfect place to stay for a quiet getaway. Clean room, nice shower and such comfortable beds. The full size fridge, robes and wifi were appreciated as well. We enjoyed walking to 6 different restaraunt/bars during our stay - all very good. Perfect location to visit other towns and events nearby.

Perfect escape for 3 days. Location was near the water and walking distance thru town, and allowed us to drive to all towns in the Northern Neck of VA. Inn also accommodated a dog which was a bonus. Room was beautiful and cozy. Innkeepers were always reachable, PERFECT SPOT!
