The Cascades Guesthouse at the Center for Regenerative Ecology (formerly the Inn at Shaker Mill Falls)

Everything about our stay was pleasant and homey. The room was comfortable, the kitchen had all the utensils and food storage we needed, and the grounds were beautiful. We especially enjoyed the soothing sounds of the little waterfall and brook below our window. Michael and all the staff were friendly and genuine as well as very helpful with regard to restaurants and sites to visit. Also, the Inn was situated in a location convenient to the many venues we wanted to visit. We plan to return to stay here again soon. Thank you Michael!

The staff at the Inn at Shaker Mill Falls are truly outstanding. We felt so taken care of, from local recommendations and breakfast upon waking up to taking us to an auto repair shop when we had car trouble. Our room was clean and cozy. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The bathroom is small but does the job. The shower had great water pressure and was warm and toasty. The most impressive thing about this inn is its programming. We didn’t even scratch the surface of all the wonderful things the inn does for the community but to name a few, they help run a community fridge, they participate in ecological conservation, hold workshops on important topics and the inn itself is a non profit organization. We recently stayed at this Inn as part of our 10 year wedding anniversary trip, and it could not have been a nicer experience! Nothing fancy, but an extraordinary historical building, simple, enjoyable, and maybe the most comfortable bed we've ever encountered in a rental unit! We had our little dog with us, and that was also completely easy. The location is terrific, not very far from a number of wonderful Berkshires towns.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. If you’re looking for a unique, rustic, relaxing, quiet stay, this place is for you! Unwind by the babbling stream and waterfalls, relax on the hammock or take a short hike around the property. The room was a good size, comfy bed, hot shower, clean. We had a room that faced the stream, so we left the window open a little to listen to the peaceful sounds of the stream, which made for a good nights sleep. A simple Breakfast is included... toast, apples, egg dish, scones with butter jams etc. (may change daily, not sure). Coffee, tea and hot cocoa are always available in the kitchen area to help yourself. Beautiful rustic living room and dining area with books and games as well. Friendly service! Clean room, very comfortable bed, hot shower. This rustic accommodations sits at the base of a nice waterfall and cascade. We enjoyed hearing about the future hopeful plans for the grounds. Thank you Chuck and Michael for an excellent stay. We will definitely stay again in the future. A nice touch to the room that maybe I only care about, the sink in the room had a faucet with a light in it. A small detail that I found fun.
