The Carriage House

My experience at Carriage House Country Club was absolutely appalling. We booked a stay from February 20–22 and lasted less than 15 minutes before leaving because the conditions were so disturbing. The hot tub water was stained brown and filled with foam that looked like it was caused by body oils and poor maintenance. It was visibly dirty and completely unusable. The furniture in the room had unsettling white stains on it, which made the entire space feel unsanitary and neglected. To make matters worse, the entire establishment had an overwhelming combination smell of harsh chlorine and fried chicken. This is a fantastic hotel with very unique amenities. The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating, and understanding. I host a weekend long event here for the past several years. We book the entire hotel, 150 people attend. The staff goes out of their way to cater to us. Sometimes our guests can misbehave and they have always been understanding. I highly recommend the Carriage House for family getaways, parties, weddings, car shows, really any event. It's affordable, clean, fun, relaxing, and in a beautiful area.

We are writing to address our timeshare membership with your company. Despite our efforts to cancel, we continue to be burdened by this significant financial obligation. In truth, it was always easier and more affordable to book a hotel when we were able to travel. The financial strain of the timeshare is compounding, especially as our children, who have their own families, face increasing financial pressures from college tuition and the rising cost of living. They are in no position to take on this timeshare. Furthermore, we have been consistently unable to use the timeshare, as the dates we desired were never available. ⭐ Carriage House: Charming, Flawed, and Three Stars 🕰️ ​The Carriage House at Pocono Manor is a resort with historic charm that absolutely earns its honest 3-star rating—it doesn't pretend to be modern luxury. You come for the spacious suites and great amenities like the huge indoor pool, but you also accept the dated decor, occasional maintenance quirks, and slightly inconsistent service that come with an older, historic property. It’s affordable, comfortable, and a perfectly good base for the Poconos, but you must embrace the "rustic" flaws along with the lovely mountain setting. A fair value for a cozy, time-worn stay.
