Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center - Poconos

Really enjoyed our stay here. We had the early check in and the check in kiosk was extremely quick and useful. The room itself was fine with plenty of space. The water park i thought had a nice variety of rides and attractions for my little kids. Also being a weekday we rented a cabana at a cheaper rate than the weekend rate and it was extremely useful. It had the waitress service that was very helpful. There was a nice amount of other little activities around the resort for tye kids to do as well but the arcade was a little pricey i think. Also, the food options on site we thought were all excellent. Overall definitely recommend.

We just got back from one night at Kalahari. It was our first time there, a family of four (5 and 7 year old kids), and it was very nice! It's very family-friendly. The kids really enjoyed the waterpark. There are great activities for all ages. I liked that there wasn't an area of water that went deeper than 5 feet (the very back of the wave pool). It was pretty busy, but with so much to offer, there wasn't much waiting for what my kids enjoyed. We got very lucky that we arrived around 12:00 and our room (5th floor and quiet) became available just before going in the waterpark. We chose to get our stuff, eat something in the room and then head to park. We didn't need a locker. I really like the towel exchange; trade in a new one whenever you want. AMAZING place. Great for the kids and adults. Free admission with hotel stay. Huge arcade, good food, and shops. Valet parking for $40 and electronic check-in. Lockers can be rented in the Waterpark with 3 different sizes to choose from. I suggest getting there early to get a good seat or table or rent a Cabana ahead of time. The chairs, tables and Cabanas go fast. Ordering food and drinks are electronic, simple and easy. They do have souvenir cups for children and adults. The place is HUGE! You will get lost a few times with the elevators and different level floors to get off on and go to the lobby. The bracelet is your room key, and there are 2 types of bracelets. If you were wondering if this place is just for kids, it is not. Kalahari seems to be marketed towards family fun, which there is, but this place exceeded my expectations. Considering it is a huge convention center, there are things for only adults to do. I took my niece (20) and nephew (18) to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. We checked in on a Thursday, and felt like we had the whole indoor park to ourselves that evening. We tried most of the restaurants at the resort, and were not disappointed. Some restaurants are pricey, but offer a unique experience. Every large hot tub leads to an outdoor area, regardless of age restrictions to areas. We had Jason D as our server for hot tub 5 and he was AMAZING!! He was so attentive to our needs and was right on top of everything. He also constantly had water ready for us. He had a great attitude and went above and beyond! Definitely ask for him as your next server. You won’t be disappointed!
