The Bunk House

We loved our stay at the Bunkhouse! The cabin is adorable and our hosts were so friendly (and allowed our crazy huskies to stay too). It had everything we needed. We hope to come back!

The best part of our trip from California by far was our three days at the Lander Llama farm! My three kids were in love with the llamas and were so excited to feed them and walk them. Therese and Skylar (our hosts) were the kindest people and made the time there amazing! We look forward to another stay there someday! The perfect place to bring active (aka crazy) kids!

My wife and I needed to get out of Dodge for a weekend, and we found the Bunk House by sheer chance. It is such a charming, rustic dwelling that inspires nostalgia. You feel the love that the owners have for the place from the moment you set foot inside. We were greeted by cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, fresh-squeezed OJ, and other tasty treats. The real treat is the llamas. We spent lots of time feeding and photographing the llamas. If you are feeling stressed and like you need to escape from the world, consider this charming place because I can assure you nothing is more relaxing than hanging out with llamas.

This is a great place to stay IF YOU DON'T HAVE A TODDLER. There is ample room for 5 people to sleep in beds, and the setting is great. The full kitchen is a great asset - and they even provided milk and orange juice, and rolls for breakfast! However, if you have a toddler, there are lots of hazards - the oven gets very hot so if you're using the oven you have to make sure the kid stays away. Also, the stairs to the loft aren't safe for a toddler at all. (of course you should watch your kid, but it's really hard to have to be vigilant all the time so it's easier to just avoid hazards.) If you have more than 5 people, the fold-away couch is pretty uncomfortable with missing springs. But, as long as you are a group of 5 or less, and don't have a toddler, don't miss this great place!

Awesome place, I think it was the owner who brought us some cinnamon rolls each night we were there to what up in the morning. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. They stock the mini fridge with milk andnoj, and other goodies. Great.... no awesome place to stay. Get it done and have some fun!
