I’ve been coming to the Bethel Inn for over 30 years and have always loved the resort and what it brings to the community. My wife and I had our weekly dinner on 11/17, and it was our final straw. I was forced to let it be known what've encountered, as I am sure others have as well. We were greatly disappointed with the new management team. We have seen them our last few visits, and had seen them in past years, but had not seen them in the last year as I assume they were fired. Recently we noticed they had been rehired. While the new female chef has greatly improved the food, the overall hospitality has declined sharply in the past month. It was a relief to find Bethel Resort and Suites as it was late at night and we had not seen places to stay for a while. We were thankful they had someone at the desk after normal business hours. The room was large and had a fireplace which we loved. Some of the pillows and curtains etc were stained in our room but overall we had a good experience.

But up close, the facade tells a different story—peeling paint, decaying wood, and haphazard mechanical interventions. The lobby is dark, dusty, and musty, though the desk clerk was a bright spot: warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely.||Breakfast was a disappointment—stale grocery store pastries, shrink-wrapped in a basket, and only decaf coffee available. Positive: Convenient to the events we were attending Negative: Although an old inn, some updating is warranted. Get some new linens, provide room service on every night, be watchful of cleanliness. At check in we were told we were 'upgraded' so I'd hate to see what our orignial room might have been!

Historic quaint hotel. Loved the restaurant and tavern on the lower level. Our room was spacious and charming. Beautiful grounds. Diana at the front desk made us feel very welcome. Don't hesitate. Get the room with thr fireplace and balcony.
