The Beachcomber Resort

We did not book until June. Kathy in the office was great and so accommodating determined to find us rooms that would work for my family. There were 5 adults-my husband, daughter & me stayed in room 105 which was a studio, but the bed was in the back behind salon doors so it felt like a 1 bedroom. It was so nicely updated and we really like the location not facing the pool. It was very well appointed with everything you could possibly need, my only suggestion would be to put up room darkening curtains because it’s very bright in there by 6:00am and that the parking spots be numbered by room. My son & his wife stayed in a room on the 3rd floor and said it was equally as nice. The maid service was great and the entire property was very clean. The pool/hot tub/grill and cabana were real

Great place. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. Lovely large hot tub, and lovely pool. Lots of sun over both. Grills, big screen TV in the courtyard near pool. Lovely family friendly place.

I’ve been here many times, excellent location service and rooms are extremely clean and well stocked. Anything you need the front desk is always available. Very close to the beach and many restaurants.

We booked a one bedroom suite for three nights over a weekend in late June and were very disappointed in the quality of the room. The room was drab and dated, had random old furniture, and did not even have a freezer (something you would expect from a summertime beach rental). Our friends paid the same and reserved the same room type and their room was so much better in terms of having a full size refrigerator and freezer and more updated and nicer furniture and layout (even on the same exact floor plan as they were one floor above us). For paying about $500 a night we were very disappointed and would not recommend it to others. My booking at this location through VRBO was a nightmare. My check in date was a Friday, and I would be arriving after 5pm. I didn’t realize that the front desk was closed after this time and that I needed to make advance arrangements for check in. I called and chatted with VRBO for assistance, and they were not able to help at all. I was not able to get in contact with the property either, as their phone lines had an auto message stating I had reached them outside of business hours. I was not able to check in for my booking, and had to book a different property at the last min. Not only was this bad enough, the property later denied my request for a refund, as they stated the booking was non refundable. I explained numerous times why I should be provided a refund to no avail. I DO NOT rec
