The Babcock House

This place is terrific. The proprieters are very friendly and accommodating. The food is prepared by an accomplished chef. The four courses of our dinner were cooked to perfection. The rooms are also very comfortable with a lot of character. The Babcock House is now our "go to" get away place.

We had a lovely stay at Babcock House! Our room was beautifully furnished and comfortable, and we enjoyed the shared spaces as well. We had two delicious breakfasts and a fantastic dinner. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating, really tending to every detail. The location is great for exploring Appomattox. I highly recommend staying here and make sure you sign up for dinner too!

Very nice stay at the Babcock House, we stayed there for one night as a short stopover during a roadtrip. The house is gorgeous and very well maintained, very traditional and cosy decoration, the rooms are very comfortable. It is located next to the Appomatox court house site and museums, which is perfect for a bit of history. The countryside around is also gorgeous and there seems to be a lot of walking routes in the nature. Breakfast was good although heavy (especially, the yoghurt was already pre-sweetened which is a shame, and the juices were not fresh and also sweetened).

We had a very relaxing 2 night stay at this historic bed and breakfast. We knew we would be a bit late arriving on our first night, so we ordered a Southern Cheese board to be waiting in our room. The board included cheese, fruit, bread and apple butter… a perfect snack. We had Dinner the next night which was a well planned and delicious multi- course fare. Breakfast both mornings was a treat, we especially loved the yogurt and fruit drizzled with molasses! Our room was perfect, the bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and the shutters on the windows are just the thing for light control and privacy. Talia was so friendly and helpful and her husband the chef is a culinary artist! We will definitely return ❤️

We booked a room for our anniversary for a single night and it was lovely. The house is beautiful and well appointed. We loved the large screened in porch as we sat out there enjoying a bottle of wine without having to deal with bugs. Breakfast was delicious and prepared specifically to our plant based needs. High praise for this beautiful B&B!
