The 409 Bolivar Beach Hotel

This place was an absolute delight. The staff was all very friendly and the rooms were very clean. We stayed just before a cruise and will definitely do it again should we leave out of Galveston again. They are quite close to the ferry landing. I 100% recommend staying here, and I don’t say that about too many places.

Was recommended by 2 ladies in the grocery store near by. It is on the highway & 1 block from the beach. It was the off season end of January. Was told we were the only guests that night! We were given a room in the new buidling. Older building is under new modeling. It is on high stilts needing to climb 25 stairs (not handicap assesable). Very clean & new. But the room needed hand towels & hangers. Was told I could have called him, but did not have phone #. The room did have a frig & micro.The heater was very noisy so we did not use it. I don't think they are ready for the crowds @ spring break! Pricey considering we were there in the off season it would have been nice for a lower price.

Shared a wonderful birthday getaway with my sister at The 409. We loved the charming room, with fun decor and very comfortable beds. Easy beach access at the end of the street was beautiful and so relaxing. Owner is very warm, welcoming, was super kind and very attentive to our needs. Would definitely reccomend The 409 it was perfect for us, we left refeshed and looking forward to our next visit.

Great spot to stay while soaking up some beach time! Our room was spotlessly clean, well stocked with essentials like coffee, water, toiletries. The linens and pillows were soft, high quality and cozy and the bed was very comfortable, better than expected for the price. The staff at the hotel was amazing. Very accommodating with an after hours check in, with a pin code lock, no room cards to misplace... Bonus! Not to mention, an absolute perfect location for the area and proximity to the beach. Would highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

We had a couple of hiccups in the beginning. However, the management stepped up and turned it into a positive experience. Not The 4 Seasons but you don't need that at Crystal Beach. Basic, clean and comfortable. A good place to lay your head down after a day at the beach. Also the website doesn't mention that there is a mini fridge and a microwave in the room.
