A Grand Encampment Amidst Mesas and Mountains In the shadow of crimson mesas and beneath the watchful gaze of distant white-capped peaks, our party—numbering 12 full grown men—arrived at a most remarkable dwelling, the "Teasdale Jewel", an oasis of comfort and hospitality set against the dramatic splendor of the rugged Utah frontier. We were welcomed not by proxy or automation, but by the very steward of the property himself, who, at our request, emerged with warmth and sincerity to greet us upon our arrival and shared with us the rich history of the area and the property. Such a personal reception, in this modern age, is as rare as it is delightful—setting the tone for what proved to be an extraordinary stay. This was a great house for our family of 10 adults and 15 kids. Plenty of activities at the house to keep the kids busy. It was big enough for us to spread out and not be squished on top of each other. Nice and close to lots of his and scenery but still far enough away from crowds in a quiet little town. We all had a great trip!
