Tall Timber Cabins Cloudcroft,N.M.

What a beautiful place, no. 10 was perfect! The fact that it was mentioned to be dated was NOT an issue. Great shower pressure, comfy sleeping quarters & wildlife right at your door. David was wonderful. I recommend bringing your coffee & camera outside around sunset to see elk, deer & rabbits. Gas station has some grocery items, the bakery around the corner has delicious breakfast burritos, scones & pie. See you next time!!!

Stayed here before and although dated it was nice and owner was accommodating. This time, I call ahead and made reservations and no, they don't have a 2 night minimum, but get there and since there was 6 of us their "insurance" will not cover that many in a room even though the cabin has 2 full size beds and a full size hide a bed. So we no choice but to spend extra cash to get 2 cabins , shower in 1 doesn't drain well and then toilet plugs up in that same cabin last night and after getting a recorded message 1st call, finally got through and guy comes a plunges it. Had to call because sign on door says no vacancy and door is locked. Then this morning the one in our cabin next door plugs up. We came here for Thanksgiving week and had a great time. No, the cabin is not top of the line and the decoration is a little out of date but that is not what we traveled 12 hours to New Mexico for. We went for the surroundings and nature that were wonderful. Tall Timbers is not right off the main highway, so you have your fair share of wildlife and an excellent view of mountains right out the door. The owners were very helpful and kind. The only problem we had was the knobs on the stove had fallen off so it was difficult to cook but we managed. Miss Cloudcroft already and I'm ready for the next trip back! PS- We even got a few surprise snow showers!

My wife and I have stayed here numerous times. We love it here as Mr. and Mrs. Gilbreath make you feel very welcome. The cabins are very cozy and nostalgic. We only stay at one place when in Cloudcroft and that is Tall Timber Cabins.

I liked the cabin itself and the owners were nice, however the cabin was full of spiders. All sizes from huge to tiny and the whole cabin was full of them including the bed. It was the worst experience ever.
