Grand Cloudcroft Hotel

THE GOOD. The lodge is beautiful. The staff are courteous. The pool and spa are refreshing. THE BAD. Walls are thin and you can hear people walking around above your room. You can also hear recreational activities… The breakfast was 10 minutes late. Potatoes were raw. They serve pork with no other meat option. Biscuits and pepper gravy were delicious. Eggs were not bad. Coffee is machine made. Pool doesn’t open till 9AM which was a supreme disappointment to my family. Not a bad stay if you can catch a discount.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff were all extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean and spacious and our grandkids loved the pool. The breakfast was good and had a nice selection. We loved everything about our stay. Great property.

Beautiful hotel! Our room was cozy and clean! Very quiet considering it was totally booked and there were a lot of families! Nice breakfast offered and the VIP parking we got was totally awesome! Staff were friendly and very helpful! Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Cloudcroft!

We stayed here over winter break for a few nights. We loved it. Super cute hotel and town with a nice vibe. We went to White Sands from here for a day trip, and it was very easy. We had no snow though, so I imagine if there’s snow the drive would be a little scary. It was very kid friendly. As other people mentioned it was a bit loud. We were near the lobby and breakfast area, and it was fine and quiet during the night so not a problem for us. The breakfast was good. I’m docking one star because they charged us $20 for arriving at 3 pm for a 4 pm check in. My husband also ran out to get a pizza, and when he returned, there was no parking. They were going to charge $10 for parking in the garage, but he talked them out of it - although they weren’t agreeable to it at first. I’m docking one s

My main issue is that the rooms are not sound proof at all. We could hear EVERYTHING that happened in the rooms above and beside us. The people in these other rooms were speaking at a normal-indoor volume and yet we could hear them. Every step, every move. We even heard their recreational activities and I am sure they were trying their hardest to be quiet. For the price of the place, you would think they would have sound proofed it.
