Surf City Family Campground

We had such a wonderful trip and although rained out, the sounds of the ocean were so nice. They had a huge pig pick in’ and bbq, kind customer service and very responsive to messages for check-in. They were very dog friendly. You were so engaging and friendly too. We felt very welcomed like a community. Thank you so much.

The owners and staff were very nice. People around camping was great. Quiet at night. Right on the beach, no driving. Right on the mountains to sea trail last segment. As a backpacker, couldn’t ask for anything better. Love it. Will be coming back!

This place is awesome. left today!!!! They do not have rooms.They have motor home spots.They also offer tent spots as well. And you're right, ocean front on topsail beach.You can't beat that!! We just love bruce and his family!!!

This is the first 5 star review I ever wrote where the facilities are a bit "rustic" (emphasis on rust), bad internet, close enough to hear your neighbors breath....but amazing location, next to the beach, nice people, family run, good price. I would live here if I could. We met people that come every year for 40 years. Highly recommended.

Top notch location. This is EXACTLY what we were looking for as a great overnight stop on our east coast roadtrip. Extremely reasonable rates, very friendly staff, and RIGHT ON A GORGEOUS BEACH 😍😍😍 bathrooms were plentiful and clean. Sites were normally spaced if not slightly closer to each other than normal but we just stopped mid week and there was a lot of empty space. Mostly adults but I did see one family tent camping with small children. Lots of dogs. There is a little store and ice available. Lots of food and drink options in the area. No pool or frills but you're right on the beach which is exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for a great stay, we look forward to returning in the future!!!
