SureStay Plus by Best Western Beaumont

Let me first say I stay at this property very often when i come in town for work and all the front desk agent are nice and helpful!!! This was my first time interacting with this so called MANAGER RIKKI I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable and needs to be addressed. I prepaid for a two-night stay through Hotels.com earlier in the day after receiving notice of a job interview. Knowing I would arrive late due to work, I called the hotel directly and spoke with the manager, Rikki. I clearly explained that I would arrive around 2:00 a.m., and she assured me that as long as I arrived before 3:00 a.m. (before their night audit), I would be fine. I arrived at approximately 2:30 a.m. and was told the hotel was sold out and my reservation had been canceled as a “

Our room smelled strongly of air freshener. It was almost unbearable. It wasn't cleaner because the floors turned our feet black when just walking across the room once. Older hotel so the room was furnished as expected. Not new but not too bad. Neighborhood was a bit scary. The locals definitely let you know you are not welcome. I'm sadly assuming it was due to being of a different race, since that was the most obvious difference for their immediate rudeness and glares. Crazy Cajun across the street was friendly and served delicious food. Free breakfast wasn't the best. Hot foods were less than room temp. Coffee was great! |Panhandlers and questionable "ladies" made our stay even more of a poor choice on our part.

We was having a hard time at this place when we first arrived. The first room TV was messed up and sheets wasn't changed. So moved to another room and that room didn't have a microwave. So took the microwave from the other room to our new room. But after that it was a breeze. The rooms are definitely clean and up to date. Plenty of parking especially for truck drivers. The black guy at night was very helpful and accommodating. Especially needing another remote to change between inputs to play the game on the TV. Gave me the remote the entire night. Dont care for the door in the room to another room. But this place was very quiet and didnt require a deposit, which was a major thumps up. We will definitely be back. Positive: The room was nice and seemed to have been recently remodeled. Place was quiet between 10pm and 6am. Negative: Outside of hotel was dirty & very ran down. No elevators; had to carry all our luggage upstairs. Lots of sketchy people in the parking lot. Bags of trash left in hallway.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Our stay here was very disappointing which was a very big suprise with all the fantastic reviews they have. We stayed from Sunday to Thursday. We had no microwave for our entire stay even after being promised twice they would get us one. They were either out of towels or washcloths for the entire stay and could only give us two towels for a party of 4. We didnt get fresh ones until the night before we left. Housekeeping is TERRIBLE. Our room appeared very clean when we got there but my kids accidentally moved the bed a bit and the amount of stuff under the beds was terrible. I had to go and buy cleaning supplies so my kids had a clean place to play. Housekeeping came in on our last evening before we left and took out the trash and replaced our two towels with two more
