Super 8 by Wyndham Upper Lake

This hotel is now called the Upper al Lake In And Suites. The people there were helpful and friendly. The room was pleasant to stay in. Downtown Upper Lake is a sort walk from the hotel with several nice restaurant options. There is also Judy's Junction across the street where I had a nice breakfast with friendly service and good food .

We arrived at 2am after a flat tire. Front desk was very welcoming and helpful with finding us a tire shop. Rooms are very clean. AC is very cold. I will stay here again.

Quality quaint little motel, the owners are amazing people, they make sure you're taken care of. The rooms are nice. There's on-site laundry. No breakfast, which is fine. There's a nice breakfast place across the street. There's a pool but it was closed while I stayed there, the weather was cold. And there's plenty of parking.

First off, I must say that the gentleman at the counter was very respectful and helpful. The reason for my lower rating is dynamic. We waited a very long time to check in to our second room because the staff was completely not around. Although it was nice and clean, there were cosmetic damages to the doors. It's a convenient location, right on hwy 20, but it's not beautiful. There's no breakfast or 'warm welcome' feeling. Great for a quick nights sleep when on the road (assuming you can get counter service), and that might be about it.

Our whole experience with this motel was disappointing. We spent less then 10 min here when we decided that we wanted a refund and left. The man who checked us in was unfriendly and unprofessional. When we got to our room the bed was not made, the room smelled of smoke, the carpet was muddy, and there was left over fast food wrapper spread out around the room. When we told the man the condition of the room there was no apology. He asked us if we wanted another room. At this point we decided we wanted a refund. He gave us the refund and said nothing more. I would recommend avoiding this place.
