Super 8 by Wyndham Topeka/Wanamaker RD/I-70

Dirtiest room I’ve ever slept in my life. Debated sleeping in my car but it was too late. Wish I did as there were bed bugs as woke up with rashes. All the negative reviews are real. Was half full snack trash under the chair that was used as a bedside table. Cigarette ashes all over the floor. Not sure how legally this hotel can remain open. Looks like all their 5 star reviews are from the owners friends and families as i am stunned anyone could give more than a 1 star here.

This place needs to be condemned and bulldozed. There were holes in the sheets from cigarettes, holes in the walls stuffed with toilet paper, a towel stuffed where the smoke alarm should have been, the bedding had multiple stains on it, the furniture was broken and in disrepair, the entire hotel smelled awful. The plumbing for both the shower and toilet did not work so I had to go to the YMCA to shower.||The one good thing I can say is that there were no bed bugs.

Don’t ever stay here! It was beyond nasty. Black mold all over. Nasty dressers. Dirty floors. Dirty sheets and blankets. Cockroach’s crawling around. TV didn’t work. Then when you tell them about it you get told it’s not their problem!

Positive: Nothing Negative: Hole in the bath tub covered up with tape. Almost fell through. Bathroom sink was hanging off. Inside lock was broken. 2 cockroaches found in my room. Staff was rude. Was over charged and never refunded. Last day there, no towels were replaced.

I was eaten alive by bed bugs. All over the side of the face I laid on the pillow. I have had to consistently take Benadryl and put Cortizone on the bites since and they were so severe that they’re still prominent 4 days later. The first room they tried to put me in had not been cleaned whatsoever- ripped and stained sheets and blankets, Had hair everywhere and the toilet was disgusting, probably not cleaned for over a week. There was a dirty sock on a chair. We asked to move rooms and they acted as if it was a huge inconvenience like they couldn’t put us in any that were clean because none of them were clean. The one they put us in, was still dirty with holes in the wall.. and there were definitely people doing drugs coming in and out of the building all night. I have stayed in a lot of s
