Super 8 by Wyndham Tappahannock VA

I don’t usually even write reviews but this is actually insane. I understand the saying “you get what you pay for” but even so, we’re entitled to a clean room at least. The sheets and pillows were bloodstained, no top blanket.. trash flowing over, dirty shower, no towels.. the room just wasn’t cleaned from the previous occupant. Also bedbugs, I slept in my car.

When we got there, we had to wait at least 25 to 30 minutes for someone to come to the desk and she was driving up in her car. We had a long ride so we got to the motel and rested before doing anything else. It was 2 night staying there and the place was nasty, smelling like marijuana everywhere you went. Mold in the refrigerator and ceiling in the bathroom. My husband pulled back the blankets and the sheets and the bed cover looked like blood all over them. It wasn’t one bed it was both beds. The woman that was working would not give us another room nor refund our money back. This is my home town. I just couldn’t believe what it all looks like now. The owner of this motel better do his job and get to the bottom of this and read your comments on this nasty place. And don’t forget breakfast

Positive: The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Negative: The common areas were very dirty with debris and dirt on the floors. The walls were dented and scuffed. The bedspread had burn holes as well as the blanket. Hair in the bathtub. The picture did not match what I saw in the room.

They only offered coffee for breakfast, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. So I guess even though I left hungry, it was a good place to stay.

Being it's like one of the only hotels in tappahannock you don't have many options. However be forewarned. There's a homeless encampment out back, the windows are busted out and the place is infested with cockroaches. The outside doors don't lock so anyone can come into the building at all hours of the night. The t.v. randomly works, shower curtain rod falling down, amd the curtain won't stay closed soaking the bathroom floor. No room service. Like I've stayed in some bad places for work and storm damage, but this place takes the cake for one of if not the worst I've ever been....
