Super 8 by Wyndham Riviera Beach West Palm Beach

Definitely not the Marriot, or Embassy Suites or even La Quinta... but its not as bad as the reviews make it out to be. We got 2 rooms for 2 nights, im writing this review from the really comfortable bed in one of the rooms. The building is definitely an old school layout, pool or pkg lot view, but the ac works great, the beds are clean, bathroom is decent, and other than a slight wet dog smell in the rooms (took care of that with some febreeze) everything seems to be going well.

Stayed for one night in order to catch a cruise the following morning. Upon arriving at the hotel the lobby door was locked. I needed to conduct business through a walk up bullet proof window (the reason was "renovations" but this place has been under "reservations" for quite some time). It appeared that I was a burden to the person working the desk - as if they had something better to do. I went to my room and unpacked. I ordered some food from Grub Hub and when I went back to my room the key would not work. I went back and forth twice to the desk and the situation was not remedied, which seemed to irritate the person working the desk, as if it was my fault A handyman was dispatched and it was determined the lock mechanism was faulty and I would need to be relocated. Positive: Convenient location Negative: Horrible hotel. Every room smelled like stall cigarettes. Carpet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in decades. Door handle to bathroom was broken. Shower was badly stained.

If you are the kind of person who looks at reviews before booking this is not the place for you. Spent one night here before a cruise and apparently I'm a terrible hotel picker. The room was disgusting, burn marks everywhere including the tile in the bathroom...how do you burn tile?!? Dark curly hair in the bathroom. No bugs so their pest control is on point! The highlight of our stay was the entertainment provided by the long term guests of the hotel. Working girls and guys and all combinations of the two were active on a Sunday night, can you imagine the weekends...the local pharmacy delivery service was pretty popular also. When your ten year old says " dad this place is a dump" you know its a dump! Non smoking room STUNK!!! Had we not been in a rush I would have asked to be moved but we had to shower and get to an event. The carpets have never been cleaned. I wore socks in the room the whole time. The stains were a little much and should have been addressed years ago. Bathroom was tiny and very dirty. Im not a complainer but will give an honest review. DO NOT STAY HERE!
