Super 8 by Wyndham Jamestown

Very convenient location. They are doing some renovations but I was in after the workers quit for the night and checked out before they got started in the morning. I was conveniently located here and exit so I could take my dogs out relatively easily. Breakfast consists of coffee, pancakes, cold cereal, bread, yogurt, orange/apple juice and milk. Plenty of options for me.

I have a fairly low bar for motels - I just need them to be clean. Staff are wonderful, & super nice here, & the location was great. I travel with 2 very well mannered show dogs, and for some reason Super 8's always stick me in rooms that stink like cigarettes & funk. Never mind the no smoking policy - the rooms are always smoky anyway. My dogs didn't like being on the carpet in that room, and would not settle easily. I don't know why motels even bother with carpet anymore - it gets gross so quickly. I was just there for one night, so not the end of the world. The towels & linens are clean - no complaints at all with the housekeeping. It just felt like they had to move a permanent smoky resident out of there so they could give the room to me. I've had this same experience with two Super 8

The staff are very helpful . The rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. Morning breakfast is adequate. Very cool pancake maker!! The WiFi in the rooms were good for us and the TV had lots of selection of channels. When we had to make an adjustment to our reservation the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Positive: The front desk person was very kind and apologized for no hand soap due to owner not realizing hand soap is necessary and was also very quick to provide a remote so that the TV in the room could be used. The front desk person went above and beyond. Negative: ""

Good place to rest. Clean rooms. A maintenance issue in our room was promptly resolved. Good job! Thanks! Breakfast has a variety, along with a automated pancake maker.
