Super 8 by Wyndham Fairfield Tx

This motel is not a 5 star resort but it is a well run, clean, quiet place to stay in Fairfield. I have stayed here several times, always requesting a non-smoking room. I never have detected any trace of stale smoke so that is a big plus. The staff are very friendly and renember me even though I return only every couple of months. They have even put me in the same room several times, knowing I like it! The rooms are clean and have been updated with comfortable furnishings and paint in the past few years. The bed is firm and without sags. Although it is next to the access road to I-45, it is quiet. I have never heard any loud noise, TV sounds, traffic, etc. during my stay. I booked this location specifically for a quiet working environment, and it delivered spectacularly. The soundproofingwas incredible; I heard zero traffic or neighbor noise. The lighting was excellent, and the ergonomic chair made my extended work sessions comfortable. This isn't just a place to sleep it's a sanctuary for concentration and rest. A five-star experience in tranquility.

The room was clean and spacious. The pillows were good. The mattress was nice as far as comfortable. The shower was great. Good pressure, swing out curtain and great spray. The towels were big soft and clean...Things to work on. Window units leave the room very humid and I kept smelling musty smell in room 105 all night, the mattress and sheets felt heavy, almost damp even though they probably were not. The tub could use some more stickers on the bottom of it as the water's soft and it's pretty darn slippery in there... conditioning shampoo is OK only with soft water, they should really include some conditioner and maybe a bottle of water in the room. Positive: "" Negative: Musty smelling room. Then all the bedding had a strong smell of detergent as if it wasn't rinsed while washed. Couldn't sleep at all. The bed wasn't comfortable.

This Super 8 far exceeded my expectations for the price. The lobby and rooms have a fresh, modern look that doesn't feel like a budget stay at all. Everything was completely functional and well-designed. The value I received for my money here was truly outstanding. I felt like I got a high-end experience without the high-end cost. A fantastic choice in Fairfield, Texas!
