La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fairfield TX

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. During the ice storm Jan 2026, we were on our way home from vacation and got stranded at Houston Airport We decided to rent a car to drive the rest of the way home. We made it to this la Quinta in Fairfield. We were greeted by the smiling face of Francis. Our tires bodies and minds were up lifted by her Cheery disposition. She sweetly up graded our room. We talked with her and other very sweet ladies that were keeping the coffee hot and a warm breakfast the next morning. When we finally checked out, the southern hospital did not stop. We were blessed with a safe travels and more smiles to start our day.

The staff at the Fairfield La Quinta are wonderful!! Colby, Francis and Terry were welcoming and amazing. My family and I came in with one of our cars having engine troubles. The staff worked hard to get a mechanic out to us, on a Sunday, who managed to get our car working to get us back home. So grateful for them. Also, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the grounds well maintained. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Positive: Location Negative: Room was super hot, AC did not work in first room, moved to second room AC only partially worked, in room temperature was over 74 and 82, respectively.

Worst lodging experience we've ever had. Tv did not work properly, rat droppings and rat trap in closet, light fixture hanging loose from ceiling, electric receptacles on one side worked intermittently, faucet fixture in kitchenette was unattached and would raise up when you tried to use it, no plug in bath lavatory, door broken off of AC control panel, toilet seat wrong size and poorly installed, food quality quality/quantity poor, ran out of coffee cups at breakfast. Never again.

Rooms were clean,bed was OK. Did not see any bugs! The fake phone with the cord removed in room ?? Why? This hotel seems very transit with guest. Lots of local workers. It worked for a qwick overnight stay on our way to our destination.
