Sunshine Mountain Lodge and Cabins

This place was awesome. I stayed here as part of a wedding party and if you're getting married in Allenspark, especially the Wild Basin Lodge, this is (as far as I'm concerned) a non-negotiable. Having your entire wedding party stay in one location makes for the most magical, and at times practical, experience. The main lodge is completely equipped to host large meals/parties, so we had the rehearsal dinner there as well as almost every other meal. There are ample folding tables and chairs, which tripled the already abundant seating. There was a trail around the property, which was great for downtime between wedding events. Well worth the money!

Stayed here as part of a wedding party and it was such a perfect setup! Having access to a full, well-appointed kitchen was probably my favorite part. The rooms were quiet, though the beds weren't the most comfortable. But I still slept well. I do wish the website had said there wouldn't be any soap or toiletries provided in the bathrooms. I know it sounds silly, but I hadn't stayed at a cabin in years and just didn't realize I had to bring my own soap, shampoo, etc. They also provide coffee and a coffee maker, but no mugs or hot beverage cups, at least in our cabin; I'm not sure about the others. This place is amazing and exactly what we were looking for! We had 40+ family members from all over the US for a four day family reunion. Very affordable for everyone. Their website is full of local attractions. We went white water rafting, horseback riding, and spent a day in Estes Park, all very drivable from the lodge. We cook as a family and the kitchen was amazing, had every item we needed with a large pantry, full of spices and condiments. The lodge allowed us to have enough space inside and out to eat and gather as a family. Thanks Cory & Cat for a wonderful vacation!

Best damn weekend Ive had in a long time. Cabins were beautiful and clean. The scenery was gorgeous. And damn, Cat can cook. Thank you for all the hard work you do for your guests.

A lovely hotel with professional service. The room was bright and had a great view. Breakfast was fresh and varied. Staff checked in with us to ensure everything was perfect. A wonderful stay.
