Riverside Lodge & Retreat

The outback view of the river was great. Places to sit, had a fire pit and was very relaxing. The inside of the lodge was clean and tidy. Religious items everywhere. However, the pool and hottub were out of service and rather creepy. This was not communicated. We were the only guests there over Memorial Day weekend so we had the whole place to ourselves. Originally thought our room was to be a cabin and were disappointed about that. The employee was very pleasant. She let us eat the small continental breakfast even though we got up late. We saw hummingbirds while eating. This place is great for an event or a group of people. My husband and I were planning a road trip through CO for our anniversary and we found this place online and booked it. Our expectations were blown away. It's the cutest, family friendly lodge. The owners are so personable and willing to help in any way. Rooms are cozy and we got to stay up in the lounge room with a fire all night. The views are beautiful. We hate we only had a day here but have said we want to bring our family back one day.

We found this place as we were traveling from KC to Yellowstone. If you are looking for a relaxing, rustic place to stay this is it! The water running down the stream put us to sleep and the early morning hummingbirds were beautiful to watch. I wish we had more time to spend here.

4.3 It's affordable and offers easy access to everything nearby, which is, of course, nature! If you would prefer to rough it you can of course camp, but this gives you everything you need in a room, unless you like to spend lots of money and feel like you never left home somewhere else.

This place is ran by 2 of the nastiest people I have ever encountered in my life. I would rather throw my money in the garbage and sleep in my car then ever stay here.
