Sunset Resort Lake Tawakoni

My husband and I spent 4 wonderful months at this sweet campground. Had a wonderful stay. Dusty in the office is very friendly and helpful to address any of our needs. This campground has the most spectacular sunsets out of any campground we have visited. Highly recommend 👌

One of the best RV sites we’ve visited. Amazing location right on the lake, super helpful and friendly staff. It’s very quiet and secure with the gate at the front. They also have a pool, but we visited in the winter, I’m sure in the summer it’s amazing to be able to cool off. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a weekend or long term getaway.

Really nice place, we got a spot right next to the water. Where we could throw some line out and fish. The place is secure and very peaceful. If you are looking for a spot to park your camper that is quiet, secure and peaceful this is the spot for you. Looking foward to our next visit

I lived at Sunset Resort RV park for alittle over a year. The only reason I left was to get my son closer to his sons. Hopefully I will be back to Sunset Resort rv park within the next year. It is a beautiful place right on Lake Tawakoni. Management is great. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. I miss my friends. We had activities during the month. Lots of fun was always had by all. Thank each of you for your helpfulness and your friendship. Love yall and miss you. God bless each of you.

Stayed just for 1 night. It is on the lake which is nice (be aware lots of bugs… not the RV parks fault just by the water). Talked to 3 different employees while we were there. Everyone was super nice, the park is probably showing its age a bit maybe time for an update. It is close to a main road so there was some noise, I don’t think it’s too bothersome but some folks might find it annoying. Be aware some spots can be very small, with our slide out (and our neighbors slide out) it was very close. Our site did not really have any space to do anything outside the RV. We were not there for that so it wasn’t a problem for us. They do have quite a few long term folks there that don’t really keep up the appearance of their sites.
