Sunset Point Campground

I give this 2 stars because yes the camp sites are away from trees so no tics, if you have an RV probably a great spot for camping since they have a playground for kids. If you have a boat as well as a RV probably perfect spot for camping honestly. Though if you're looking for traditional camping with a tent and fire with a spot to fish and swim at your campsite I would say go to another lake because the camping spots are not good for those amenities. There are bushes in the way to get to water and lots of big rocks to walk down, yes that's nature I get it but very inconvenient when trying to fish or swim. The bathrooms are okay but it's only one stall and the womens restroom door doesn't automatically close like the men's so lots of bugs get inside, and some women don't like that aspect..

I love elk state park but this campground offers very little privacy, no shading, and sites are close together. The campground is very well maintained!

It is a great place to camp and enjoy the views and the quiet beauty of the water and the nature
