Sunset House Motel & RV Park

Just stayed there in the rv park for 3 weeks. They have an ice and filtered water machine. community kitchen with food and snacks. community toilet shower and gym. instead of running to town for everything it was just there. i have been here 3 years in a row and it just keeps getting better.

Very friendly owner. I only rated it 3 stars because the rooms are old and outdated with cosmetic issues, but the beds were super comfortable. The rooms were very clean and for the price you can't beat the deal. I'm 6'2 and the shower head is built for maybe a 5'5 person, so that was a little challenging. Overall it is a nice little quaint hotel and I would recommend it for the value and the cleanliness.

We stay at this hotel every year for an annual get together of about 30 people. It's conveniently located close to everything in town. The front desk attendant is incredibly nice and accommodating - even offering to help me unload my car and 2 babies! ❤️ The rooms are spacious and clean - yet very minimalist. No extra blankets / sheets / towels / etc....but would probably be provided if asked. We are a family of 4 and had a sufficient amount of everything we needed. There is an on-site communal kitchen that we use as well for the food prep for our outdoor party. We will definitely book a room for next year!

I always stay at the Sunset Motel when I fish down south like Arroyo city or Port Mansfield. The rooms are clean, and affordable. I feel my boat and gear are safe parked outside of the motel and you are right by some of the best fishing on the TX Coast.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Sunset House. Our manager/owner, Amanda, was extremely accommodating when we had boat equipment problems and asked to extend our stay an extra day. She was super responsive with requests for additional towels and other supplies. Although there was no coffee maker in our room, the guest kitchen was but a short stroll away. We were always assured of a fresh, hot cup of coffee in the mornings. This is a pretty basic place, not many frills, but very functional and affordable. I highly recommend Sunset House as a convenient, clean, hospitable place to stay during a visit to Port Mansfield.
