Fred Stone Park

It’s a great place to unwind and fish and there are a lot of deer here walking around all over the place it is open to the public my family comes once a year but it is just a great quiet getaway from the city.

This location was chosen off what we found on google and decided to drive down for the day to check it out. The pier itself is in great shape, the design of the structure and condition is great! You will have a great time fishing off the pier. The lights were on and seemed to be in working order. Unfortunately the bathroom condition is horrible to say the best. Do yourself a favor and take a 5 gallon bucket and trash bag, that will be a better alternative then using the ones on site. If the city would take care of them or at least provide porta pottys, then it would be not so bad. The parking lot isn't the best but have seen worse. Will definitely come back and spend more time here. Had a great time and landed a nice size Drum as well.

After years of waiting, the new Fred Stone pier is finally open. Very nice, new pier,lots of people visited while we were there. Bathrooms are still not done but have about 5 port a potty’s. Not very clean so make sure you take toiletries, Disinfectant and lights if there at night. Night fishing is great, the pier is lighted and also have green lights on the water which attract lots of speckled trout. People were catching lots of black drum and specks. Few reds at the time.

Great for early morning fishing...

This was my first trip here. Absolutely loved the area. The pier is so nice and clean. My kids and I felt safe at night being it's well lit.
